I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my new podcast, Products of the Mind.
What’s Products of the Mind about? I’m glad you asked! Here’s the description:
Business law strategist David Lizerbram hosts Products of the Mind, a podcast about the intersection of business and creativity. This show includes tips and lessons about business law strategy, how to protect your brands and business assets, and conversations with thought leaders in startups, entrepreneurship, media, marketing, the creative arts, and beyond. Whether you’re a serial entrepreneur or small business owner, a creative professional, or an innovator in any field, the Products of the Mind podcast is here to provide you with tools, guidance, and inspiration.
The first three episodes are available right now on iTunes, Stitcher, and various other podcast channels. If you can’t find Products of the Mind on your podcast app of choice, please let me know, and I’ll get it up there. You can also listen through the website ProductsOfTheMind.net.
New episodes will be available on a weekly basis. If there’s someone you’d like me to interview, or a topic you’d like me to cover, please let me know. You can email me directly through this link. Thanks!
So what are the first three episodes about?
Episode 1: Sixteen Top Podcasters Answer “When Do You Feel Most Creative?”
I’m starting the show off with something that’s never been done before (that I know of.) I’m calling this the One Question Interview format.
In this episode, I interview sixteen successful podcasters and ask them “When do you feel most creative?” I’m excited that my listeners will be able to hear from this list of podcast superstars:
- Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income
- John Lee Dumas of EOFire
- Kate Erickson of Kate’s Take and EOFire
- Michael O’Neal of The Solopreneur Hour
- Omar Zenhom of $100 MBA
- Jordan Harbinger of The Art of Charm
- Elise Cripe of Elise Gets Crafty
- Joon Han of Your Biz Rocks
- Mike Vardy of Productivityist
- Anthony Tran of Marketing Access Pass
- Lou Mongello of WDW Radio
- Jaime Tardy of Eventual Millionaire
- Steven Shalowitz of The One Way Ticket Show
- Cliff Ravenscraft of Podcast Answer Man
- Joel Boggess of The ReLaunch Show
- Meron Bereket of Inspiring Innovation
And, of course, I answer my own question, which is only fair, right? Give it a listen and let me know how you’d answer.
Episode 2: What Is A Trademark?
Episode 2 is the first in a series of episodes that contain legal tips for entrepreneurs and creative professionals. Think of these as creativity tools; once you understand the basics, you’ll be able to apply this knowledge to solving problems that you’ll inevitably encounter in your business and creative projects.
The Internet is full of incomplete or inaccurate information about intellectual property. This is a subject that I’m passionate about and that I hope to help people gain a better understanding of. Check out Episode 2 to learn more.
Episode 3: Creating a Craft Beer Utopia with Jacob McKean, Founder of Modern Times Beer
Finally, the launch comes to its thrilling conclusion with an interview with Jacob McKean, the founder of Modern Times Beer. Every year, about 500 new breweries open in the U.S. Modern Times opened in 2013 and has been wildly successful. How have they managed to stand out in a crowded field? What strategies has he implemented to make his business sustainable?
Jacob is never shy about sharing his opinions, so whether you’re a craft beer fan or never touch the stuff, you’re sure to find something you like (or strongly disagree with) in this interview. I can’t wait to hear the feedback from this one.
And Speaking of Feedback…
I’d love it if you’d take a moment to give Products of the Mind an honest rating and review on iTunes. Ratings and reviews are how iTunes and Google know which shows to promote. Don’t know how to rate and review a show? It’s easier than you think – click here for step by step instructions.
Coming Up on Future Episodes of Products of the Mind…
- How did graphic designer Melissa Walter go from making rave posters in college to illustrating black holes for NASA?
- What Is a Copyright? The second in a series of legal building blocks.
- Content marketing, Bay Area tech culture, and “Uber for Juggalos” with Dayna Rothman of EverString.
- How Phillip Davis of Tungsten Branding created a career as a professional namer of things.
…and much more.
Thanks, and I hope you enjoy listening to Products of the Mind as much as I enjoy creating the show.
